Grande’s presentation focused on our current G-Force High-Speed Internet products, Bolt!, additional Internet services and the areas where we offer services in Austin. Here are the slides…

Even though we only had 3 or 4 customers among the whole audience (of around 50 members present) I am happy to say that our customers were extremely satisfied and gave great testimonials of their experience with Grande and in particular our Internet products.

Interestingly enough, during the whole evening, the most common question we were asked was “when are you going to be available in my neighborhood?” The answer every time was “we don’t know yet, but as soon as we start building our network again, we will let you know” and we told them to go to our website serviceability tool and enter their address because we DO use that information to analyze where we build next.

After the presentations were over, Ryan Kyle (our Austin Sales Manager) and I had a fun time listening to anecdotes about customer service a few CapMac members had with the competition and again desiring us to start building as soon as possible.

On Saturday, March 28, the neighborhood volunteers from the North University neighborhood celebrated the grand opening of Sparky Packet Park and a well deserved celebration it was. The reclamation of this park from what was once an electrical sub-station required the cooperative efforts of many stakeholders including Austin Energy, the City of Austin PARD, Austin Parks Foundation and Art in Public Places. But the driving force for this delightful transformation was the North University Neighborhood Association. Grande salutes the neighborhood volunteers whose determination, commitment and love for their community has resulted in a pocket park that will be treasured for generations to come.

In keeping with the spirit of cooperation that was the hallmark of this effort, Grande Communications was pleased to provide a grant for landscaping and other esthetic need at Sparky Park.

In just its second year, Lee Live! was off the charts as a successful school fundraiser! This fabulous new event featuring Lee Elementary School’s own rock stars, Kelly Willis and Bruce Robison, raised more than $37,000. These proceeds translated into many important educational enhancements the school including the hiring of an IT person for the campus, purchase of technology carts for the classrooms, Spanish instruction and playground equipment. Grande salutes the many, many outstanding parent volunteers who plan and present this highly successful evening of music, auction fun and festivities to directly impact the learning at Lee for all children!

Grande Communications was delighted to be part of this exciting and worthwhile event as a major sponsor of Lee Live! in 2008 and 2009.

Grande salutes this great lady for building a strong, thriving nonprofit to serve education programs for the children and families of her community and for galvanizing her church family and her neighborhood around her efforts. The Annual Fort Branch Community Awareness Rally celebrates the continued growth and vitality of the Lincoln Park neighborhood and showcases the amazing reality of Janet’s vision!

Grande salutes the mission and generosity of the Austin High Parent Booster Clubs who work hard to ensure that every senior is able to participate in all senior-related activities despite his or her economic situation. These energetic boosters decided to host the “First Austin High School Battle of the Bands” as a fundraiser. By all reports the event was a huge success by every measure and a showcase for many musically talented and gifted students. Congratulations to the parent volunteers who launched in May an exciting new tradition at Austin High!

Grande Communications was proud to be a Hall of Fame sponsor for the first annual Battle of the Bands.
