Grande Salutes Violet Crown Community Works

Every year volunteers from the Brentwood Neighborhood Association and the Crestview Neighborhood Association come together to create a very special community “happening!”  This year’s event was a cross between a traditional festival and an old-fashioned neighborhood picnic. The Violet Crown “Thing in the Park” featured activities for children and families, a delightful all-day concert with nonstop entertainment by local musicians and other performers as well as food and beverage vendors with tasty treats for everyone.  The unique centerpiece of the event at Brentwood Park was a display of photos and captions chronicling the history of these two storied neighborhoods.  Grande salutes the many, many hard working volunteer leaders who helped to enhance the strong sense of history and community in the Violet Crown area each spring!
