Grande Salutes Mathews Elementary School

One of the most popular full-day festivals of the year took place at this culturally diverse public school in the Clarksville neighborhood of Austin on May 21.  The students, teachers and parents celebrated the rich traditions of many different countries with a Geography Bee, an International Festival that featured crafts, entertainment and tastings from around the world and a colorful Parade of Nations in which the students presented the flags of hundreds of countries.  Grande salutes Mathews Elementary for this special celebration of the richness of our world!

Grande Communications is proud to be a Partner in Education at Mathews this year and was pleased to provide a sponsorship for Octoberama and funds to help support a technology teacher for the computer lab and to help purchase costumes for the International Dance Troupe. Grande employees enjoyed decorating and cooking for its festival booth “Tastes from South of the Border.”
